Jeeva seamlessly expedited their Foundational Technology Review with nOps for AWS ISV Partner Path approval.
About Jeeva Informatics Solutions, Inc
Research and clinical trials are essential in medical science to enable disease detection and diagnostic methodology, discover new treatments and devise ways to reduce the chances of developing diseases. Jeeva partners with biopharmaceutical sponsors, contract research organizations (CROs), and clinical researchers to expedite clinical trial studies.
With the Jeeva TRIALMAGNET™ package of the patent-pending Jeeva eClinical Cloud platform, the company has tripled the clinical trial base. TRIALMAGNET expands patient recruitment opportunities to include a clientele that is socially, economically, and geographically diverse. Now, independent of their location, patients participate in clinical trials via a modular Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) program. This innovative, browser-based, data-driven Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform does not require a download. The modular software design allows for rapid configurations that align the features and workflows to specific trial protocols. It reduces time and travel burdens for patients and researchers by as much as 70%. To learn more, go to https://jeevatrials.com/

Continuous Compliance Monitoring with Updates
Jeeva’s primary mission-critical agenda requires compliance of its SaaS platform with regional, national, and international regulations related to clinical research, health data protection, privacy, data integrity, cybersecurity, and management system quality. Jeeva realized that compliance with the AWS Well-Architected Framework’s best practices guidance and successful completion of an AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR) was essential to leverage AWS as a co-seller to help grow their diverse patient clientele.
AWS recommended the nOps cloud management platform to perform an AWS Well-Architected Review (WAFR) and FTR because it automates discovery and accelerates review time. After doing their due diligence, Jeeva used the AWS Marketplace to sign up for nOps.
The Bottom Line
This case study demonstrates how nOps functions, simultaneously, like an onsight AWS infrastructure compliance auditor and a forensic accountant, saving its clients time and money.
The solution for Jeeva began with a call between the nOps and Jeeva teams to explain the process and create a remediation plan. The teams enabled AWS permissions within nOps and created workloads for the WAFR and FTR. nOps’s auto-discovery analyzed the workloads against the five pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and the security, performance, and operational pillars of the FTR.
nOps automation answered questions within the WAFR and FTR assessment expediting the review process. nOps automation identified all resource violations, and automatically provided recommendations and context-specific help to aid the remediation process. The final report collated all information into a cohesive document. After remediation completion, Jeeva’s platform was in compliance with AWS WAFR and FTR best practices.
By implementing the remediations recommended by nOps, Jeeva anticipates that, as well as being compliant with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and Foundational Technical Review, they will also achieve 60% savings in monthly AWS costs with a 0% increase in overhead. Jeeva now uses nOpsfor active monitoring for security, cost optimization, operations and performance, and to maintain compliance with the five pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
"nOps helped us achieve and maintain the best practices of the AWS FTR and WAFR, with a cost-effective and compliant infrastructure. It enabled us to save even more costs and time by pointing out leaks that slipped through the manual due diligence of our DevOps team.”
“We now have an efficient way to verify if we are provisioning AWS resources in an economical manner. ”
