James Wilson

With over two decades of experience in technology, James Wilson has led globally distributed teams in building cloud-based B2B solutions that serve as a foundational technology. His expertise spans container orchestration, distributed systems, high-speed data transport, and cloud-native architectures, with key leadership roles at Aspera and IBM. Currently, he leads engineering at nOps, developing fully automated cloud optimization solutions that empower engineers to act with confidence and focus on innovation. Beyond his work, James serves on academic advisory boards, mentoring students and advocating for diversity in STEM. James is also an experienced speaker and presenter, with appearances at industry-leading conferences, including KubeCon (The State of Kubernetes Optimization and the Role of AI, 2024), FinOps X (Lightning Talks, 2023), and SMPTE Engineering Retreat (Security and Identity Panel, 2020).
