New Faster & Easier nOps Onboarding
Last Updated: July 9, 2025, Announcement
What's New
Onboard all of your AWS accounts to nOps with one click with new CLI and IAM options
Managing cloud costs starts with visibility, and that requires onboarding your AWS account and data. But for many traditional cloud platforms, this process can be time-consuming and fragmented, especially when managing multiple accounts or integrating with existing workflows.
With One-Click Onboarding, it’s ultra-fast and easy to get started with nOps. No manual setup or multiple stacks required. Deploy all your AWS accounts at once, backfill historical data, and onboard via your preferred method in just a few minutes.
One-Click CUR Backfill
Backfill up to 12 months of historical Cost and Usage Reports (CUR) directly from the nOps dashboard. Select how many months you need, and nOps will automatically create and submit a support case to AWS, tracking it end-to-end. For backfills beyond 12 months or MAP projects, use the standard AWS process via nOps Docs.

All-in-One Stack Deployment
Onboard all your AWS accounts at once with a single nested CloudFormation stack, no need for separate stacks or StackSets. By default, all master and child accounts are onboarded in one go—no need to manually trigger StackSets or return later for additional setup.
Your Preferred Method
Choose the workflow that fits your team: As the new process, we have added two more ways to onboard (along with existing Terraform and Cloudformation).
- AWS CLI: Leverage CloudFormation stacks directly from your terminal.
- IAM onboarding: Use your own IAM roles and trust policies via your own/favourite Infrastructure-as-Code. Bring your existing CUR bucket and report for seamless integration. (Read the full documentation for more information).
How It Works
Choose your onboarding method by selecting One-Click Onboarding in the nOps dashboard for the fastest setup, or use Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CLI, or IAM onboarding if you prefer Infrastructure-as-Code or need to integrate with existing workflows.
Set up historical data backfill by entering the number of months (up to 12) to retrieve Cost and Usage Reports (CUR). nOps will automatically create and submit the AWS support case on your behalf.
Deploy all accounts at once with a single nested CloudFormation stack that onboards master and child accounts together by default. If you need to onboard only specific accounts, you can configure this during setup.
Wait for data to load while nOps collects and processes your account information. During this phase, access is limited to “Documents,” “Settings,” and “Announcements.”
Start exploring insights once your data is ready. Full access to the platform is unlocked, and you’ll receive an email notification letting you know insights are available.
